H&M Home

Happy Saturday everyone! It’s a long weekend for us Canadians, woot woot! We don’t have any major plans this weekend, as a matter of fact, the kids have their usual activities on the calendar today, so it’s basketball, dance and horse-back riding lessons over here. Hopefully we will get out and do a family hike tomorrow if the weather cooperates…the forecast is pretty depressing though.

Today I wanted to tell you guys about my new favourite budget-friendly place to source home decor. I am very familiar with H&M for their fashion-forward, inexpensive finds, but did you know that they have home accessories?

I had no idea until I came across this blog post a few months ago, from Room for Tuesday. Check out the post to see a round-up of some really great stuff! I had all the heart eyes for the collage that was shared in the post, and I thought, “ugh, we probably can’t get this stuff in Canada, and if we can, the shipping is probably stupid”. Well, good thing I clicked on a few items and added them to the ole’ shopping cart, just to do proper reconnasance. I was so pleasantly surprised to find out that the shipping was free! Not to mention if I didn’t like what I purchased, returns are also free. Yes, you are reading this right people…free shipping and free returns. At that point, I pulled the trigger on 2 pillow covers and a gorgeous throw blanket, and then anxiously awaited their arrival. Wanna know what I bought? Ya, I thought so. Well the first thing to catch my eye was this pillow cover:

Embroidered Cushion Cover - Light beige/green - Home All | H&M CA 2

I also was on the search for a black knit throw for our couch, and this one was exactly what I had in mind:

Knit Throw with Fringe - Dark gray - Home All | H&M CA 1

At the time I was also sourcing some new pillows for a decorating project and I knew this green velvet one would be perfect:

Quilted Velvet Cushion Cover - Green - Home All | H&M CA 1

my Etsy shop btw)

The blanket is really soft and big enough for sharing, which is a bonus on movie nights!

Thanks for reading!
