Fall Fashion

I hesitate to write this post just yet because I am desperately clinging to summer! I started hearing advertisements on the radio this week for Pumpkin Spice lattes and I was like “lets not rush this people!” It’s still officially summer until September 21, which is still a few weeks away. I even heard one coffee company promoting frozen iced pumpkin lattes…can’t blame them for trying!

I’m not ready for pumpkin spice just yet, but it’s hard to resist all the cozy fall fashions I have been seeing everywhere I go. The reality is that the month of August has been a warm one here and it still feels like Birkenstock weather. I just bought my first pair this summer and I am obsessed. I wore these babies everywhere! They were great for all the walking we did on our California Vacay.

So even though I am still in summer mode, Fall Fashion is on my mind so I thought I would share my new wardrobe additions. First up are these shoes:

The Low Cut Bootie

I bought them back in July during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but guess what? They aren’t from Nordstroms and they weren’t on sale. It was actually the jeans in the photo I was interested in while perusing Nordstrom, but then I noticed the shoes and knew I had to have them. They are from Madewell and were definitely a splurge, but I know I will get years of wear out of this versatile style!

Waterproof Boots

I read great things about Blondo waterproof boots last winter, so I did scoop up this pair during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I love everything about them, although did have to go up half a size. Now I will have a stylish shoe option during the long and rainy Vancouver winter! I just noticed that they are sold out online, but I just exchanged mine for a bigger size this week and they still had them in store.

Bomber Jacket

I saw this at Old Navy and had to have it. It’s like a bomber jacket crossed with a barn jacket…a barner jacket? I went up a size to make sure I had room for layering underneath. I ordered it online and got 40% off, making it a total steal for a Fall jacket!

Striped Henley

I also had to snag myself this striped henley style top. It was only $10 and I can’t resist stripes! I have noticed that henleys are “trending” in Fall fashion, which I am 100% on board with! So comfortable!

Boyfriend Sweater

Sweaters are my weakness. Especially big, cozy ones. I added this to my sweater collection and can’t wait to wear it!

Sleeveless Blouse

I was immediately drawn to the floral print on this top. The blush color combined with the fall inspired oranges and yellows? Love!

Floral Print Sheer T-Shirt

This pretty little top caught my eye because of the striped detail at the collar and sleeves. Stripes and florals are my favorite pattern combination!

Sleeveless Sheath Dress

It never occurred to me to wear a shirt under this dress until I looked up the link for it. When I tried it on, I felt like it was quite dressy and would be perfect for more formal occasions. Now I see that it is quite versatile and you can dress it up or down. Like 2 dresses in 1!

Wrap Dress

I tried this dress on and immediately fell in love! It’s soft, hangs nicely and is a flattering cut.

I think that is a a pretty good summary of my Fall fashion finds. As much as I am sad to see summer go, I am excited about my new purchases and feel ready for the season ahead.

What about you? Are you ready to tuck the sundresses and shorts away for the year and bring out the sweaters?
