Summer is officially here and the school year is almost over! Well, my teen is officially done but my girls still have one more week of elementary school. I always get a little nostalgic this time of year. It’s crazy how fast the years fly, and the end of each grade is a big reminder of that. It feels like just yesterday we were starting a fresh new school year!
I don’t know about you, but something I struggle with at the end of the school year is all the stuff that comes home with the kids. Left over school supplies, water bottles, tupperware, spare clothes…all the things that have been accumulating in their desks and cubbies all year.
One of the things I used to find the most challenging was all of the schoolwork, artwork and certificates that my kids bring home. Being the sentimental mom that I am, my instinct is to keep #allthethings but with 3 kids, that is just not possible. I wrote a blog post a few years back about a system that I created to organize and store my kids memorabilia from school and sports. It was actually one of the first blog posts I wrote and you can read more about it by clicking here.
I am keeping today’s post short, but if you have any questions leave them for me in the comments below! We are off to our cabin in Washington to get it ready for the exciting summer season ahead.I hope you have a great first weekend of summer!
