I can’t believe Easter weekend is upon us already! Wasn’t it just New Year’s day 5 minutes ago? We are enjoying some sunshine this weekend after a super rainy week, yuck. Styling my dining room table for the holidays is one of my favorite things to do, and today I am sharing my Easter tablescape with you.
Inspiration can come from anywhere…even chocolate!
Maybe I should have called this post “ode to mini eggs”, lol! Not only are these little chocolate treasures my favorite treat, but their soft pastel colors are so pretty! So much so that I used them in my table decor for a little pop of color. Don’t even ask me how many of them I ate while photographing!
I started with a really neutral set up, with this white and grey table runner.
I kept my centerpiece decor really simple – a jug of grocery store tupilps in a beautful poppy pink shade
and then I added some candles…I have two of these glass jars with a simple white candle and a bit of Spanish Moss and I love the way they look.
I also have these pretty little pink bowls that are the perfect container for some votives…these are my favorite anthro scent – Volcano…
Then I used my favorite water hyacynth round placemats, layered with white plates, some pretty soft pink napkins, and then these little egg dishes filled with minieggs.
The egg shaped dishes came from Michael’s last year, love that they are the perfect backdrop for the colorful little mini eggs!
I knew that I wanted soft pink napkins, and I had a hard time finding some. I scored these ones on clearance from Pier 1. The last thing I added to each place setting are these pretty glasses and goblets, can you guess where they are from?
If you guessed IKEA then you would be correct, aren’t these a good find?
I love the way all of these simple elements came together!
I couldn’t resist adding a few Easter themed elements, so I dipped into our Easter decor and added these cute little chicks and our egg shaped salt and pepper shakers to the table.
I have had this little trio of ceramic bunnies for years and I love them! I grouped them in the middle of our sideboard.
I also couldn’t resist adding a few things to my tiered basket…
Now we are all set to host Easter brunch this weekend and I love the way the dining room turned out!
I strongly believe that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to create a look that you love, and my dining room is the perfect example of that. None of the elements I used were overly precious, but I love the way this looks and it makes me happy!
I hope you have a lovely Easter weekend and enjoy some time with your loved ones. We are hoping to get out and do some family hikes with the dog, which I need to combat all of the mini eggs I have eaten this week!
Thanks so much for reading!
